HELP WANTED:
Are you self-motivated? Would you like to earn money while serving God's kingdom by helping build the faith of others? If you have a friendly persona and a servant's heart, along with the boldness required to make sales, you're right for Catholic Digital Resources!
Here's how the program works:
- You will be self-employed. We contract you to represent Catholic Digital Resources and we pay you a 20% commission for sales you initiate. All expenses incurred in your job as a sales rep are your responsibility. We don't set your schedule or tell you how to do your job; you are free to design any sales strategies that work best for you (as long as they remain ethical and Christ-like).
- Sign up to become a Good News Affiliate. This is how we keep track of sales that originate from your sales efforts.
- As an affiliate, you will be given your own admin area where you can update your personal details and view your statistics.
- As an area sales rep, your commission will be doubled! Affiliates earn 10% from the sales by posting a click-through link on their own websites, but we will double the total for you, to give you 20% of the sales you originate, because you'll be actually working, making personal contacts to produce sales.
- You do NOT need a website. The Affiliates program normally requires it, but because you will be working for us, we will give you a webpage on our site that you'll use as the starter page to send your customers to, so that churches come directly to Catholic Digital Resources to place orders. This will initiate the tracking of your sales. See an example. The address will be "catholicdr.com/z/yourname".
- Browse through the CDR website and download/print samples of our resources from their previews. Choose whichever ones you think will be easiest to sell, but be sure to include samples of upcoming Sunday bulletin inserts.
- Show these previews to potential customers: Parish Bulletin Editors, Pastors, DREs, Evangelization Coordinators, Adult Education Coordinators, RCIA Directors, etc. You decide the most effective way to make the contacts. Emails will probably be part of your sales campaign, by emailing timely samples and following them up with phone calls and appointments. But don't neglect the power of the personal appointment!
- Give customers the address of your CDR webpage, where sometimes they will see special sales that are offered only to them. If they fail to use your page, by starting at our home page or anywhere else in our site, we might* still be able to use cookies to track your sales if they pay online, but that's not guaranteed.
- Alternatively, you may invoice your clients, first helping them choose the resources they want, then writing up the order for them. If they pay by check, give them the invoice, which you will specially code with your Affiliate ID number. If they pay by credit card, email us the invoice, and we will send them a PayPal bill. When we receive the invoice by postal mail or email, and after payment has been completed, we will add 20% of the sales to your total earnings.
- You will receive your commission at the end of the month whenever it exceeds $100.
- Return to your customers to service them year-round. Build your earnings by finding new customers and by selling newly published resources and seasonal resources to previous customers.
As an Area Rep, your area is your area. When you sign up, tell us which diocese or county or city you want to service. Areas are assigned to the first Area Rep who claims it. No one else will be given your territory unless you stop servicing the area or if you choose to share it. For example, if you have a friend who needs to earn money and you invite them to become an Area Rep in your area, the two of you will decide who covers which parish.

* Note: Your specially coded webpage initiates, in the customer's computer, the cookie that will keep track of your sales. These cookies are configured to last one full year. However, if a customer deletes their cookies or orders from a different computer, there's no more tracking until they use your page again. It's important that you remind your customers to always start at your webpage when they return to the site. We will help with that by putting this reminder on your webpage and by occasionally offering special sales that will draw them back to your page. What other, creative ways can you think of to bring them back? Make business cards or flyers or magnets or thank-you cards that highlight the address of your webpage! |
