Find out how it all ties together.
Listen to the Story in the Bible

narrated and explained by Terry Modica
author of the daily Good News Reflections
on the readings from Catholic Mass

Course Description:
The course is divided into 21 modules of about 30-minutes each, provided on separate webpages that include a download link for the MP3 audio podcast, text outline, pictures, and maps. As you listen to the podcast, you can pause your Media Player whenever you want to write down or think about what you just heard. You can back it up or start over at any time.

If you choose to save the MP3 audio files to your computer, you will have unlimited personal use of the podcasts (what's a podcast?).

From a past student:
'The Story in The Bible' gave me the insight about the story of our salvation. This course provided me with the basis I needed to begin reading the Bible regularly and will definitely help me understand more of what I am reading. You provided clear and simple instruction and knowledge. I don't think I will feel lost when reading the bible with the information I now have regarding the main themes of each book, the important covenants and the main characters, the real people involved in our salvation. I feel blessed that I was able to find your website ministry and I'm glad I took this course.

Scholarships are available for those who are unable to pay.

Maps, pictures, and an outline of some of the material presented will be available to you online. You will probably want to follow along with a Bible in hand, but this is not completely necessary. Also, have pen and paper handy to take notes. You can pause the audio presentation at any time to jot notes or listen repeatedly to a portion of the teaching.

Here's how an audio course works in the Good News Digital Classroom:
Because this is a self-study course, after you register, you will be given the webpage where the course begins and a password to access it. As you move through the course, some modules will include maps or special instructions or pictures, which are provided online with the podcast.

You have two months to complete the course before your password expires. If you need more time, you may request an extension.

At the end of the course, you may ask the instructor for an emailed certificate acknowledging successful completion of the course as proof of attendance. This is useful for those who need continuing education for their work as catechists or in other ministries.
