Here's what one student has said:
I have completed my reading and meditating on John Paul II's encyclical on the Eucharist and the Church. It's breathtaking. As a cradle Catholic, I have sorely taken this beautiful gift for granted. I am very thankful for having taken this course. I have a much greater respect, not just for the Blessed Sacrament, but also for my Church and faith. Thank you so much!

Pope John Paul II on instruction of Church documents: "Reception of a document must be seen above all as an ecclesial event of welcoming the magisterium. It is a question, in fact, of an authoritative word that shines light on a truth of faith or on several aspects of Catholic doctrine.... In doctrinal instruction is found the profoundly pastoral character of the document, the reception of which becomes, therefore, a propitious occasion of formation, catechesis and evangelization. For the reception to become a genuine ecclesial event, it is appropriate to provide opportune methods of transmission and diffusion of the document itself which allows for full awareness". (Feb. 6, 2004)

Two courses are available as e-books for in-parish discussion groups or personal off-line reading:

Catholic Digital Resources™ offers online courses covering Church documents. The aim of each course is to explain the teachings of the Church in ordinary language and to make them applicable to your daily life and ministry for the kingdom of God.

The only materials you need is access to email and the Internet. However, you will benefit much more fully if you purchase, on your own, the published document. We will provide you with a link to an online store where you can purchase the booklet. We also provide the document on our website, at least partially.

*Cloverdale College awards 3 undergraduate credit hours towards their Bachelor of Religious Education and Bachelor of Theology degrees for each of these seven web courses.
