The story of salvation in the Bible mirrors your own life. What’s your story of being in a covenant relationship with God?
As a husband and as a father my relationship with God is very important to me. I believe that marriage and fatherhood have helped me understand what my relationship with God should be like, complete love, complete trust and even more so with complete submission to our Lord. My relationship with God, of course, just like my family is not without its struggles. I’m still working on complete Trust and submission to the Lord’s will for me and my family.

    What’s your Genesis?
I feel very fortunate that I was born and raised a Catholic Christian by a mother who showed me how to pray and took me with her to church. Both my parents gave me a solid foundation and continue to love, help and pray for me. Attending and having a Catholic school education all my life helped with my faith formation as well. As in Genesis there was a point in my life where I too left my safe haven my “Garden of Eden” of family and church and of wanting to listen to God. The funny thing is I cannot remember how long I was away from church or from God. As distant as I may have kept myself I always felt God’s presence with me and when I sinned, I felt sinful and ashamed and as much as I can recall I continued to pray every now and then. There were sins that I did commit that I really didn’t think of being sinful until I returned back to the church and really listened to the truth. So I have had my fall from Grace and continue to do so every now and then but I thank God for his constant Mercy of which I am so undeserving of.

    What’s your Revelation?
My Revelation of “what God is telling me for my life now” is my present journey. I want to be able to completely submit myself to the Lord’s will and to the life of a Christian. In regards to my Christian life, I feel that I have one foot in (wanting God’s will completely in my life) and one foot out (wanting my will) which is my constant battle within myself and of which I need to pray daily, read the bible more and be part of the Christian community and partake in at least one of my church’s groups. I understand that my children will follow by example the life I live, how I live and not so much on what I say. So my own personal revelation is to get to know Jesus better, and really have a sincere relationship with him, my God, my Creator. I want to read the bible on a regular basis and establish a routine for this as well as prayer in my life personally and with my family. My faith is extremely important to me, for myself and my family. I am very fortunate to have a wife that feels the same and is helping me with my journey which has become ‘our’ journey in Christ.

Describe any connection between you and what is told in the Bible.
I feel a connection to the Israelites as well as the Apostle Peter……I need to be able to put my trust completely in God. I also feel that as many times as I fail, I confess, do penance and begin new again, I have hope because of our Lord’s Mercy, Grace, and Love. I have hope that with each new moment and day that I surrender to God’s will and begin to trust in him more that I will be led to the Promised Land.

The story of salvation in the Bible mirrors your own life. What is your story of being in a covenant relationship with God?

While I was born a ‘cradle catholic’ I began to stray for the Church in my later years. I had a strong period of doubt regarding my faith. Similar to the Jews when they left Egypt but their faith in the Lord dwindled while in the desert. I note that many times the Lord would use people who ‘were not perfect’ to be His instruments in converting and spreading the Good News. All during my later years I could feel myself growing in a covenant relationship which grew much faster and stronger after I got married (at the ripe old age of 21). Now, 48 years, 13 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, I feel the love of God though all of my loved ones each and every day.

My Genesis was my birth, and C.C.D. classes every Monday evening. It gave me a strong faith foundation but also contributed to my doubts in later life. But with the strong beginnng I was blessed with and the facts that God would not give up on me or let go of me, It wasn’t long before I realized the gift of faith that God had given me.

My REVELATION was when I realized that God was calling me to ministry. I kind of fought against it, but it is difficult to ignore God and and the Holy Spirit. So, after 8 years of preparation and study I was ordained as a Permanent Deacon. That was over 10 years ago. And almost every day since has been a REVELATION as to the love God has for hHis people and myself

I think the biggest connection I see between myself and what is told in the Bible is that God DOES speak to you when you ask. He DOES give you direction when you ask. He does bless you and your family when you give your life to Him in the service of His Church.

Thank you Terry bor a great adventure into understanding “The Story in the Bile”

    THERE STILL IS HOPE

The hope that people may live again under certain conditions is the good news of the Bible message: “Since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.” (1co 15:21) Christ declared himself the Resurrection and the Life, adding - “He that believeth on me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” (joh 11:25) Paul said that Christ, at his return to earth, would - “Change our vile (low, base: Greek - tapeinos) BODIES, and fashion them like unto his own glorious BODY” (phi 3:21). And to Timothy he wrote: “Jesus Christ… hath abolished death (as the ultimate destiny of those who obey God), and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.” (2ti 1:10)

The following verses teach the same thing (note that such statements are logically unnecessary, if man already has immortality inherent within him): “I am come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly” (joh 10:10). “My sheep hear my voice… I give them eternal life” (joh 10:28). “The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ” (rom 6:23). “God gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (joh 3:16).

“Perishing” is the alternative to receiving the gift of eternal life. As to the meaning of “perishing”, Paul uses exactly the same word, saying that if Christ be not risen, those who have fallen asleep (died) in Christ have “perished” (1co 15:18). They certainly have not gone to eternal torments, but as the word simply means: “perished”. It means “gone to nothing”, “ceased to exist”. Look up “perish” (Greek: appolumi) in Strong’s Greek Dictionary. The idea of this word meaning “eternal torments” would be an obvious and utter absurdity in practically every occurrence.

It can get confusing without the Truth of the bible.

joh 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
joh 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
1co 15:18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
rom 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

Who controls the course of human events? Daniel 2:20, 21

“The most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.” Daniel 4:17.

A nineteenth century writer once described God’s sovereignty in these words:
“Above the distractions of the earth He sits enthroned; all things are open to His divine survey; and from His great and calm eternity He orders that which His providence sees best.”

And God has not kept His plans secret: “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.” Amos 3:7.

The apostles regarded the Old Testament as “the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy 3:15.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16, 17.

    AGAIN THANKS FOR THIS STUDY.

Does God want us to ask for this Bread daily?
“Give us this day our daily bread.” Matthew 6:11.

I would like to thank this course which gave me wisdom about the Bible. The messages of the Bible are perfect and again thanks for the love for kindness and sincerity.

Any Christian that you meet that has surrendered their life to Jesus will tell you that their life has changed when they began to read the Bible. The drunkard man will become sober man, the thief becomes an honest man. The Bible has the power to change the life and heart of man.

    THE BIBLE

It is validated by archeology, history, and the fulfillment of its prophecies. It remains objectively the best alternative by far among religious works,It is more accessible by far than any other classical religious book, being translated into far more languages and distributed more widely than any other. It can be understood my any literate person who approaches it systematically and rationally.

Thanks for this kind of study which im appreciated its most really im learn a lot.
