1. I found it helpful to reread the document. I have read it in the past, but it is refreshing to re-read it. Perhaps what I found most helpful was the list of qualities of evangelization. It is helpful to quantify, to make things more measurable.
2. What is most sad is the state of Christians (myself included) that we do not value the gift of Christ enough and are not bursting to share him with everyone we meet! The very idea of a Christian who is not a born evangelizer is kind of ridiculous, though very present in the world today.
3. I am taking this course to refresh on the document and to see how others are teaching it.

I believe most of us have been very blessed for having Christ in our life. We have to promote that blessing bringing Hope and teaching the gospel to the needed. Jesus was very good at that. , he evangelized lots of people. We have to be like him. Promote the gospel and evangelize the good news.
1. - I found very usefull the instructor’s comments beacuse it were very easy to underestand.
2.- I found myself a little sad because sometimes we dont share the good news with out neighbos or family.
3. Im taking this course because I want to be learn as much as posiible from the Gospel.

1. Evangelism is the heartbeat of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. As we are touched and transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit, it is only reasonable that we want to tell others about our Christian faith. Evangelism is not a popular topic among the world, but we are not in a popularity contest just as Jesus too was not.
2. Evangelism is a challenge because we have to get out of our comfort zone. It takes courage; not something we do in our own strength, but by prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit.
3. I’m an evangelist by nature and I have respect for the Catholic faith. I want to learn about evangelism from the perspective of the Catholic faith and want to put it to practice.

1. I am always looking for something new to really sink my teeth into. I have been involved in Catholic evangelization most of my adult life. It is hard sometimes to keep going unless you can find something to mull over in my mind to help keep the fire burning. I found that in section 10.
“This kingdom and this salvation, which are the key words of Jesus Christ’s evangelization, are available to every human being as grace and mercy, and yet at the same time each individual must gain them by force - they belong to the violent, says the Lord, through toil and suffering, through a life lived according the the Gospel…….”
This reminds me that it is not easy to evangelize and that through the “down times” I will be purified if I look at it through this light.
2. Most challenging for me is in section 14. “Not that I boast of preaching the gospel, since it is a duty that has been laid on me; I should be punished if I did not preach it!” Sometimes I know I whimp out and do not stand up when I should. It is an ongoing battle for me to be humble enough to say and do what needs to be done even if it offends someone. The thought of turning someone away from the Church by confronting and “correcting” them is difficult for me.
I think the saddest part of all in this mission is that such a high number of Catholics do not have a clue about the amazing beauty and depth of this Church. The more I study the, the more I fall in love with the Church.
3. I am taking this course for 2 reasons. I need a spiritual boost to help keep my fire burning. The second reason is that I have spent my entire life studying the Catholic Church and working in evangelization but I have no credentials so am never taken very seriously. I am considering working on the degree program you show with Cloverdale College. I plan to take these courses first and then see if I want to go on. I was very excited to find these courses on the papal documents. They are so beautiful and yet so seldom read.
